What is Certification?Certification is a professional framework developed by Massage & Myotherapy Australia in consultation with industry and Certex International, for consistent and reliable national Best Practice Standards (BPS), and Quality Assurance (QA) for the Australian massage and myotherapy industry. It is a quality assurance program developed to meet the Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) accreditation standards. It took Massage & Myotherapy Australia approximately three years to develop the Program, involving wide health sector consultation and an extensive Pilot Study. The Program has approvals from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) and IP Australia (under the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science). Certification is a tangible marker that my business services meet nationally recognised standards of excellence. Becoming a Certified Specialist also allows current and potential clients to identify that I am a high-quality service provider, and that I and my business meet an industry standard.
